USA Stanford University researchers in November 26th introduces a new energy-saving materials in the "natural" magazine, it can make the building in the summer without electricity can realize "passive cooling" effect, achieve true energy-saving emission reduction.

New energy saving material is a kind of thin films composed of 7 layers of different materials, including silicon dioxide and hafnium oxide two, the total thickness of not more than 2 microns.

In the experiment, the researchers put a roof of a building of this material, it can also put the infrared scattering inside the building out, and the reflection of external light of the sun, the roof temperature than the ambient air temperature is low 5 degrees celsius. The infrared radiation from the hot objects emit at room temperature.
